Buried Ballon Truths - Kids carry so many secret beliefs that arise from their trauma. At camp we speak of them so they know they're not the only ones who believe these negative thoughts or blame themselves. For this family these balloons were planted throughout their backyard. Each child was instructed to go one at a time to find a message they struggled thinking about & bring it back to the facilitator. One at a time the kids read the balloons outloud and popped them to find a surprise message inside; THE TRUTH. There is a truth for any negative belief YOU struggle with day to day. Your pain matters and the way you think about it heals the heart.
